A man from Treherbert has invented a radar gun that locates fellow holidaymakers.
Matthew Twelvebellies said that the best part of going abroad was hearing someone else talking with a Welsh accent and asking them where they were from.
He told WalesOnCraic:
“I’ve been all over the world – Torquay, Skegness and even France once. I’ve got a natural gift for picking out who the Welsh holidaymakers are – they’re the ones who usually drink the bars dry and start singing. But there are a few who you’d never know were Welsh so I’ve invented this radar gun to pick them out from the crowds. I don’t know what to call it yet because I can’t think of anything that rhymes with ‘radar gun’. I think I might call it the Butty Gun though cos I like that. I’m hoping to sell it on Etsy and make a few bob so I can keep going abroad to Weymouth and things.”
Welsh holidaymakers said that the new invention was a good idea:
“When I go away, the first thing I do is seek out Welsh people. This new radar gun will help me a lot.”
