A cold but shiny start to the day with any lingering freezing fog clearing away. Northern and western areas are likely to get the odd wintry shower but most areas staying clear. Turning cloudy later. Maximum temperature 5°C.

Down on the farm, we’ve all been recovering from Covid catastrophes. First Farmer Honey came down with it. Then he passed it on to Mrs Honey, who passed it on to Ethel, the farm hand. Ethel passed it on to her husband Tommy who then passed it back to Farmer Honey when they went down The Albert for a cheeky pint.
