Pontlottyn Leisure Centre out of running to host Eurovision

Pontlottyn Leisure Centre has dropped out of the race to host next year’s Eurovision Song Contest.

The centre’s poor standard of portaloos was one reason why the venue was dropped from the shortlist.

Eileen Bumflaps, the centre’s manager, told WalesOnCraic:

“We was hoping to host next year’s Eurovision as it would have done wonders for our canteen. We put in a bid but they told us that we wasn’t going to be shortlisted, which I think is a bit of a waste because we’ve got some cracking facilities here. We were going open up our foyer and put up loads of bunting. We were also going to replenish our vending machines and we were even going to allow same-sex couples in.

“We are highly disappointed that we’ve been overlooked on this occasion but we’re not going to let it get us down. Now we know the bidding process, we’re also bidding to host the next Olympics.”

The 2023 Eurovision Song Contest will take place in the UK instead of Ukraine, which is currently having the shit bombed out of it by Russia.
