The moon has turned a bright shade of red to honour Wales reaching the knockout stages of the Euros.

The moon joins many other landmarks across the nation that have turned themselves red to celebrate the football team’s progression.

A spokesman for the moon told WalesOnCraic:

“Everyone else seems to be doing it so we thought we’d jump on the bandwagon and go red ourselves. We sent a guy up there last night to change the colour. We were going to put a Welsh flag on it but our local shop had sold out.”

Amateur star-gazer Timmy Telescope said:

“It looks lush mun.”
