Lollypop manufacturer apologises for offensive joke

A Welsh lollypop manufacturer has apologised to customers after an offensive joke appeared on one of their sticks.

The rude joke was discovered by a 10 year old boy who started telling the joke at a family barbeque.

His mum told WalesOnCraic:

“My kid is always trying to make people laugh. I was about to chomp into the burger my fella had just made for me when my kid comes up to me and reads out the joke to me. He asked me ‘What’s brown and sticky?’. I thought he was going to give the traditionally shit answer of ‘stick’ but when he said ‘dog shit’, I nearly dropped my burger in shock. That would have been a shame as we went to Waitrose especially to get posh ones. My son started telling the joke to other members of the family and I thought I had to do something so I went to the newspapers with my story. My burger was nice though.”

A spokesman for Dodgy Lollies Co. said:

“We are really sorry about the shit joke (pun intended). That’s all I can be bothered to say on the matter.”
