Woman speaks of relief of getting through Easter Day without running out of milk and bread

A South Wales woman has spoken of her relief after getting through Easter Day without running out of bread and milk.

Ethel Grimgrits had stocked up before Easter, buying 32 pints of milk and 17 loaves of bread.

She told WalesOnCraic:

“I always worry when it comes to big days like Easter. I know that the shops don’t open so I go to the shops the day before and buy everything off the shelf. I can’t think of anything worse than going to have a bowl of Frosties and finding that you’re out of milk. Thankfully, my planning paid off and I was even able to have a cup of tea this morning without having to go to the shop again.”

Ethel’s husband Colin said:

“I don’t think I quite appreciate the woman that I married. While other lads will have run out of milk and are having to take their coffee black, I’m able to have a lovely latte. She’s a keeper, that’s for sure. Just wish she’d go down on my pink oboe more often.”
