Flip flops make an unwelcome return as temperatures rise

Flip flops are making an unseasonal return this weekend as Summer gives the UK one final hurrah before Autumn sets in.

Gnarly yellow toes have been spotted across Wales already, causing anxiety amongst diners and decent members of the public.

Philippe Ferlop, Chairman of the Summer Footwear Association told WalesOnCraic:

“We thought we’d seen the last of these horrific feet but the late Summer sun has led to a late revival before Autumn sets in. We’ve been getting reports from all over the country that gnarly toes have made a return. We have warned people about getting their feet out in public, especially at this time of year. We’ve also put police on high alert in case fisticuffs break out, especially among diners. We would prefer it if people did put their feet away but understand that some people are sadists and we need to be ready for them.”

One flip flop wearer said:

“I loves showing off my shitty feet. I like looking at the reactions of people when they see them. It’s the only attention I get.”

The hot weather is set to last into early next week.
