A grey and grumbly day with persistent rain at times, especially up on the hills. Some brighter spells will develop during the afternoon, mainly confined to the east. Feeling warm and sticky though. Maximum temperature 23 °C.

Down on the farm, Farmer Honey’s been taking stock of the fact that it’s been the driest July on record since 1935. Mrs Honey said it’s been the driest month she’s had since just before she met Farmer Honey.
