Ed Miliband Outstares TV Camera To Win TV Election Debate Trophy

Posted on

Labour leader Ed Milband has won a staring competition with a TV camera.

He picked up his trophy after beating the TV camera at last night’s TV Election Debate.

He told WalesOnCraic:

“It was a tough opponent. He just sat there looking at me so I stood there and stared back at him. I made sure I didn’t blink because he would have won. So I just stood there and stared and stared and stared. I’m glad I won because the only thing I’ve won in my life so far is a bin bag full of handmade cushions at a Scout fete. I’m hoping to become Prime Minister next month so this staring thing will come in really handy.”

Labour spin doctors added:

“This is what the debate was all about – who could stare the longest. Nigel Farage was so busy sweating that he had trouble keeping focus and that Scottish woman, despite her lovely hair, couldn’t keep pace with our leader. We are very proud.”

The TV election debate pitted the seven leaders of the UK’s largest political parties against each other. There was a heckler and Plaid Cymru’s Leanne Wood told UKIP’s Nigel Farage ‘to go spin’ (or words to that effect).

But it was Ed Miliband’s winning of the Staring Competition that has stolen all the headlines in the media this morning. On this website anyway.
