Doctors across Wales will be getting free evening classes to help them with their handwriting.

The evening classes will show doctors how to write words that can be read by other people.

Senedd minister for doctory-type things, Gwilym ap Bardymun, told WalesOnCraic:

“This has been a problem for many years. Our doctors are very clever people but that’s not translating very well because their handwriting skills are appalling. I went to the doctors the other day because I had a pain in my bollock. He have me a prescription and I took it to the chemist but they couldn’t read what he’d written.

“I had to go back to the surgery to see if I could get another prescription but they couldn’t read who’d written it and I had to go and see another doctor to start the process all over again. I know there are similar stories all across Wales so we’ve allocated £60bn to fun new handwriting lessons for these doctors. Hopefully, it’ll mean that they can communicate with other people a lot easier,” he added.

One doctor said that she’d welcome the evening classes.

“I left a note for the milkman, asking for an extra pint of milk yesterday. I’m not sure how the milkman read it but he left a new three-piece sofa there for me. I think these handwriting lessons will come in handy,” she said.

Myth: Pet insurance doesn’t cover everything

Many pet owners worry that insurance won’t cover everything, especially routine care or pre-existing conditions. While that’s true in many cases, most insurers now offer wellness add-ons for preventive care like vaccines, dental cleanings, and check-ups, giving you more complete coverage.
