Street defence force Wales First has called for more Welsh-sounding fireworks ahead of Bonfire Night.

The Welsh patriot group has said that the traditional noises of 'boom' and 'bang' sound too Anglo-Saxon.

Party spokesman Craig Dingbat told WalesOnCraic:

“Every year, we hear squillions of fireworks going off in our country yet every one reminds us of the subversion that we find ourselves here in Wales. Each explosion is a remind that King Edward, or whatever his name was, took over our land from Owen Glyndwr, or whatever his name was. Each time I hear a firework, it breaks my heart that serves as a reminder that we, as a nation, are living in a land that is no longer ours.

“We demand to hear some more Welsh-sounding fireworks. I’m not sure how that will work exactly but the thing is, I want to be on the news a lot more. I lost my job at Kwik Save last week for stealing a packet of Trebor mints so I now need to find a way to be relevant in society. But demanding that we have more Welsh-sounding fireworks, I hope that I can achieve that and make my Mam proud.”

Bonfire Night this year falls on November 5th, which is does every year.

“The hot dogs can stay though,” added Mr Dingbat.
