Desperate lovers are pulling up on busy roads and getting down and dirty to avoid paying through the nose for a room.
One lover, Alec Harvey, said there were additional benefits to doinking in cars.
“At the start of our relationship, we’d go away for romantic nights away to Bedlinog and stuff but the price of a hotel room these days has gone through the roof. Me and the missis decided that it’d be easier and quicker just to get it done in the back of my Mondeo. It’s got blacked out windows and once we’re done, we can just go back home to our families and carry on as if I’d just been to Tesco.
“The other benefit of bonking in car is that it saves on money. The only downfall is that there’s not much room so we can’t do our usual favourite of me sitting on her face and asking me if she loves me. You just can’t do that in a Mondeo.”
Hotel owners have said that they’ve had to put prices up to stay competitive.
“I’ve had to put my prices up to stay competitive,” said one hotel owner.
