A cyclist in the Vale of Glamorgan has been spotted using a dedicated £6bn cycle lane.
Bradley 'Wiggins' Tightarse was spotted using the dedicated cycle lane yesterday.
Eyewitness Gilly Leathercrotch told WalesOnCraic:
“I thought I was seeing things. I had to get my husband to nudge me to make sure I wasn’t dreaming. I was about to open a can of Tizer when I looked up and there he was - this cyclist on the cycle path. My husband and I usually like to pass these cyclists on the road but really, really close to shake them up a bit - this one was happily trundling along on the dedicated path. It was almost as if the path had been built for him.”
Council boss Peter Pervert said:
“This is welcome news to us here at the Council as we diverted much-needed funds from our hospitals to pay for this cycle path. We do hope that Mr Tightarse thoroughly enjoyed his trip on the path, which we may extend to the whole length of Wales. Then Mr Tightarse can travel anywhere he likes on his bike.”
The £6bn cycle path runs alongside the main road, which cyclists prefer to use.
