A 39-year-old woman has successfully found a parking space at Morriston Hospital in Swansea.
Yvonne Undergunt celebrated her lucky find by having a smear test at the hospital.
She told WalesOnCraic:
“I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the space. I was convinced some arsehole had parked a motorbike or a Smart car there. But when I looked, it was a real parking space. I burst into tears when I saw it. My husband thought I’d gone mental. I couldn’t get into the parking space quick enough and once I’d turned the engine off, I cried for several minutes. I then went into the hospital to open my legs and have a smear test to celebrate.”
Parking officials were quick to dampen Ms Undergunt’s joy though. Parking attendant Darren Grimpants said:
“Unfortunately, she’s parked in a staff car park, which although provided her with a place to go and get her smear, means she’ll be getting a hefty fine in the next few weeks. Hopefully, she’ll ignore that so that we can start adding on extra charges and ultimately take her to court, where she’ll have to pay us thousands of pounds.”
Ms Unndergunt said she’d happily go to prison.
“Bring it on. I could do with a break from my nobhead husband.”
