A hair removal salon in Cardiff has been closed down after it was found to have been promoting a new Brazilian variant online.

The shop’s owner claims that their marketing has been misunderstood and that they were only promoting a new range of fanny waxing procedures.

Owner Diane Grumbleflaps told WalesOnCraic:

“We’ve had it hard enough as it is with the lockdown so we thought we’d try and come up with something new to entire our clients. We’ve been doing standard Brazilians for years so we thought we’d jazz it up a little and turn people’s bushes into nice shapes, like they do in people’s gardens. We thought that we’d offer a bespoke service, suitable to each of our clients’ needs so we called it our Brazilian variant range. Unfortunately, we launched a day before Brazil announced that it had a new variant of the virus and before we could cancel our publicity bumpf, we had a call from Mark Drakeford, who closed us down there and then on the spot.”

Grumbleflaps said that she would have to go back to the drawing board with her marketing ideas.

“I’ll have to go back to the drawing board with my marketing ideas,” she said.
