Japan to replace Wales in next year's Six Nations

Japan beat Wales on the weekend, in 300°C heat, leaving Wales 18 games without a win

Japan will replace Wales in next year’s Six Nations tournament, according to professional armchair critic, Dai The Pie down the pub.

Japan beat Wales on the weekend, in 300°C heat, leaving Wales 18 games without a win.

Dai The Pie told WalesOnCraic:

“It wasn’t fair on our lads to play in that kind of heat but all credit to Japan - they deserve to be in next year’s Six Nations. The only downside is that Japan coach Eddie Jones will be back in Cardiff in the spring but we can probably deal with that by locking him out of the stadium.

“I feel sorry for the Welsh boys. Ever since Neil Jenkins left as our No.10, things all went tits up. Fortunately, we’ve got some good teams to test ourselves against in the autumn - the likes of New Zealand, South Africa, Argentina, and Japan again. We’ll definitely, definitely, definitely win one of those games. Probably.”

Japan will take over from Wales in the 2026 Six Nations, according to Dai the Pie.

“We’ll cheer on Japan next year instead. At least we’ll be in with a chance of winning a game,” he added.

Calls for heads to roll at the WRU have been made on social media by other armchair critics.

“It’s not the fault of the players. We need to start again from scratch - and also get Neil Jenkins playing again,” said one critic.
