Woman trapped in own bedroom for three hours as plumber worked downstairs

A Cardigan woman was trapped in her own bedroom for three hours as a plumber worked on her boiler downstairs.

Ethel Bobblehat also forgot to take her phone up with her, making the three hours seem like three days.

She told WalesOnCraic:

“He turned up 15 minutes early and caught me unawares. He said he’d start working on my boiler straight away and headed straight to the kitchen to get working on it. I had no choice but to head upstairs to the bedroom. To make matters worse, I forgot to take my phone up with me so I just had to sit there on my bed for three hours. It felt like three days. I didn’t want to go downstairs and ask him if he wanted a cup of tea because I saw that he had a flask with him. It was just all so awkward. I felt like a prisoner in my own home. After three hours, he called up to say that he’d finished and that he was heading off. I came downstairs and he went. I was so relieved that I had to make a cup of tea.”

Barry the Builder later spoke to WalesOnCraic. He said:

“Got no idea what she was doing up there to be honest. Probably frigging herself stupid I’d like to think.”
