A woman has lost over £25k after visiting her local cinema.
Theresa Largecalves had the large sum of money on her as she was due to visit the bank, but lost the entire amount after going to watch The Lion King.
She told WalesOnCraic:
“I’m sure I put it in my back pocket because that’s where I put all my valuables. I had it in an envelope but I do remember breaking into it to pay for the tickets and getting some popcorn. My son Timmy wanted some Pic’n’Mix too so I used some then and after that, I never saw the money again. It was a big amount and it wasn’t even mine. I was supposed to put it in the bank after the cinema. I just don’t understand where it’s gone. All I’ve got left are a few pound coins. I’m going to ask the cinema if they’ve got any CCTV footage. I blame the kids as I need to blame someone.”
Theresa lost a similar amount of money when she went to the cinema just two years ago.
“I lost £20k that day too. I just don’t understand it,” she said.
