Woman dangerously low on ‘storm bread’

A woman from Caerphilly has spoken of her panic after finding herself low on storm bread.

The loaf was supposed to see Gaynor BonkEye through until Sunday but she is already down to her last 5 slices.

Gaynor told WalesOnCraic:

“I was all smug when I came out of the Co-op yesterday with a loaf of bread. I’d listened to the weather forecast, got myself prepped and headed on down to get myself a loaf of bread that would see me through to the weekend. What I didn’t reckon with was the fact that my greedy-arsed husband would decide to have soup for tea last night. He went and helped himself to 13 rounds of bread. I came downstairs this morning to find that I’ve only got 5 slices left – and it’s still only Friday. For me, this is the straw that’s broken the camel’s back. I’m going to sell my husband. For a fiver. Do you want him? I’ll chuck in some Hob Nobs too. Go on. Please.”

Gaynor’s local Coop has since sold out of bread and aren’t expecting a delivery any time soon because of the snow.

Manager Tim Gunt said:

“It’s really bard it is.”
