Welsh schools to be converted into museums

Posted on

Schools across Wales are to be converted into museums over the next few months.

The Welsh Government said that it is keen to preserve the schools in the present form so that the public can see how people used to live for generations to come.

A spokeswoman for the Senedd told WalesOnCraic:

“We all remember the halcyon days of school. Now that they are going to be closed forever, we’d like to take the opportunity to preserve them in their current form so that those who come after us will be able to see what it was like to go to school. We are thinking of moving some of the schools to St Fagan’s National Museum of History, where children of the future can come and see for themselves what it was like going to school. We think that preserving our present will help sustain the future. Do you like that slogan? I made that up myself last night in bed. Aren’t I clever.”

The announcement that schools are set to close forever comes as cases of Covid 19 continue to rise across the country.
