Welsh Assembly orders urgent investigation into leaves ‘mysteriously falling off trees’

The Welsh Assembly Government has ordered an immediate investigation into the mysterious falling of leaves from Welsh trees.

Hundreds of trees across Wales have seen their leaves turning a funny colour and falling off, according to the Welsh Assembly. Ministers are at a loss as to why it’s happening.

The Minister for All Things Not Very Important, Jason Anus, told WalesOnCraic:

“We’ve had reports from all over the country that leaves are simply falling from trees. We may not understand why this is happening to just us here in Wales, but let me make this one thing clear – we need to make sure that we, as a country, are prepared for it and if possible, to stop it happening.”

A Plaid Cymru spokesman said:

“This is another example of Welsh Assembly Government letting the country of Wales down. This happened last year and nothing was done about it. And this is exactly the reason why Plaid Cymru should be voted into power to run the country. Under Plaid, we’d have NO leaves falling from trees. We’d make sure that they all stay exactly where they are supposed to stay – on the branches. It’s a guaranteed vote winner. So please vote for us at next year’s election. Please.”

The Welsh Assembly Government has sent a specialist team of leaves mopper-uppers to collect all the fallen leaves for analysis.
