A village in Wales has been officially renamed to make it easier for English tourists to pronounce.

Pontarddulais will now be officially known as Pontardullarse.

Mayor Jeff Capes (no relation) told WalesOnCraic:

“We’ve been having people come here for years calling it Pontardullarse and we’ve spent years trying to tell these people that they are pronouncing it wrong. We had a meeting last night down the Fountain and decided that it would just be easier to call it by its new name. So we paid a solicitor £20,000 and I gave him free access to my homemade porn collection and he changed the name for us.”

Visitors to the village have embraced the new name. One holiday maker said:

“I’ve been coming to Pontardullarse for 17 years now and I always forget to bring my camera. It’s a point I make of doing.”
