Stephen Crabb refuses to recognise that Welsh gays can be cured of being Tory

Within three days of being appointed Work and Pensions Secretary to replace Iain Duncan Smith, WalesOnCraic can report that Preseli Pembrokeshire MP, Stephen Crabb is caught up in a scandal within his constituency for refusing to recognise that Welsh gays can be cured of being Tory.

Nigel Ponsonby-Griffiths of Fishguard told WalesOnCraic:

“I am gay and have been voting Conservative since I came out to my friends and family. I went to Stephen Crabb at one of his surgeries and asked for his help as I want to be cured. I don’t wish to vote Conservative. I am looking for his support as it requires the support of your MP to be treated on the Welsh NHS. I really want to vote Plaid, but Stephen Crabb told me that there is no cure and that I will have to live with this condition for the rest of my life. I cannot bear the thought of having to vote Conservative at every election, until I die.”

“There is private treatment, but I cannot afford the £75,000 cost of going private and there are at least another 6 people in Pembrokeshire, suffering in silence,” added Nigel.

WalesOnCraic contacted Stephen Crabb at his new office at the Department of Work and Pensions. Unfortunately the Secretary of State was busy trimming his beard, but his spokesman said:

“Voting Conservative is not a sickness, so how can you be cured on the NHS?” When reminded that Crabb had connections to a fundamentalist Christian group that opposes gay equality and promotes the idea that homosexuality can be ‘cured’, we asked why Nigel and others can’t receive a treatment that will cure them of voting Conservative?

The reply was ‘no comment.’
