Welsh TV channel S4C has lost half of its viewers after one woman’s telly went on the blink.
Ethel LardArse, from Machynlleth, was watching Pobol y Cwm when her telly gave off a slight ‘pop’ and turned itself off.
She told WalesOnCraic:
“I was only watching Pobol because there was jack shit on the other channels. I’d just made myself a cup of tea to have with my Wagon Wheel when there was this sort of ‘pop’ noise and the bloody thing turned itself off. There was a little bit of smoke so I didn’t dare turn it back on. I didn’t know what to do as I always watch telly so I went upstairs and frigged myself senseless for two hours instead.”
Ethel’s TV woes mean that S4C has now lost half of its viewers.
A spokesperson told WalesOnCraic:
“Obviously this is a big disappointment to us but we will rebuild and probably buy her a new telly. Do Radio Rentals still exist?”
