Post Office accused of hiring former Rat-a-Tat Ginger players

The Post Office has been accused of hiring former Rat-a-Tat Ginger players, who knock on people’s doors and then run off.

The problem has seen a rise of people visiting sorting offices to collect their parcels.

One housewife told WalesOnCraic:

“At first, I thought I was just going deaf. I’d find the little slip that was pushed through the door and I’d then have to get the bus to the post office. But last week, I was watching Bargain Hunt when I heard a knock at the door. I jumped up straight away and opened the door. All I could see was our postie pegging it up the road like a bat out of hell.”

Post Office bosses have been challenged by residents who say that the Post Office has hired people who used to play Rat-a-Tat Ginger as a kid.

“I know our postie,” continued the housewife. “He was a right little shit when he was little and now it looks like he’s up to his old tricks again.”
