Slade frontman Noddy Holder has been found trapped underneath a mountain of royalty cheques.
Noddy was found in his hallway and was unable to call for help.
PC Plod who attended the Walsall address told WalesOnCraic:
“We received a call at 8am this morning from his cleaner as she couldn’t get in through the front door. We managed to get in, only to find Mr. Holder calling out for help underneath a mountain of mail. Myself and a colleague cleared the hall of mail and were able to free Mr. Holder who recovered with a cup of tea. He spent the next few hours opening the mail, most of which turned out to be royalty cheques for his song ‘Merry Xmas Everyone’. He plans to take the cheques to bank next week in a hired Transit van.”
Mr. Holder made no comment on the matter.
