The 2018 Mr Universe competition has been won by someone from Earth – for the 46th consecutive year.

The competition, held at Treorchy Leisure Centre last night, was won by Josh Smallsack.

He told WalesOnCraic:

“Obviously I’m delighted to win and all credit to the other lads obviously. I came out here today to enjoy myself and I’ll take the positives from this and move on to the next competition. I’m glad I won it because it’s an honour to represent Earth and I’m now the best person in the Universe. I’m happy. Got to go now anyway – I need to inject some roids in my arse.”

The competition aims to find the muscliest people in the Universe. Applications come from far and wide yet no applications have ever been received from anyone on another planet.

Spokesman Francis Smooth said:

“Yeah, we’ve only ever had applicants from Earth so that’s all we can go with. It’s lovely here at the Leisure Centre mind – their vending machine choice it first class.”
