Motorists’ shock as cyclist stops at a red light
Motorists in Cardiff were stunned yesterday when a cyclist stopped at a red light.
Drivers queuing outside Cardiff Castle were so shocked that they failed to notice that the lights had turned to green.
One motorist, who didn’t want to be named, told WalesOnCraic:
“I’ve never seen anything like it in my life. This cyclist, he just rode up to the red light, bold as brass, stopped, and waited for it to turn green. He even gave me a cheeky wink. My wife thought he was winking at her but I could tell that he was winking at me.”
Another motorist got straight on the phone:
“I phoned the police. I didn’t know what else to do. They told me to fuck off and get a life.”
The cyclist was last reported heading north out of the city on the dedicated cycle lane.
