Man puts used battery in drawer in case he needs to use it 20 years from now

A man from Port Talbot has put a AA battery in his man-drawer in case it comes in handy in 20 years time.

Darren Dickwad found the battery down the side of his sofa and wasn’t sure whether it had already been used. He put it in his drawer anyway, in case it comes in handy one day.

He told WalesOnCraic:

“I finds all kinds of shit down the side of my sofa. I found my long-lost wife down there a few weeks back. But last night, I was scratching around for some coins to pay for my takeaway when I found this AA battery. I had no idea where it had come from or whether it had been used before. I could have thrown it away but that would have meant going to the supermarket and putting into one of those battery collection tubes and I don’t have time for that shit. I decided to put it in my man-drawer in case I need to use it in 20 years time or so. Maybe one of my remote controls will need new batteries – who knows?”

Darren also has a broken piece of plastic in his man-drawer, that he put in there last week.

“I’ve no idea what it’s from but I’ll know where it is if I need it,” he said.
