A South Wales man has crashed his car after answering a telephone call from an annoying accident injury claims company.
Darren Bellend escaped with bruised ribs and a thick lip after taking the call from We R Accident Claims 4 U.
He told WalesOnCraic:
“I was doing 80mph down the M4 because I was late for a speeding awareness course down in Swansea when my phone went off. I thought it was my missis because we were waiting to find out whether the postman had left the giant dildo we’d ordered from Ann Summers. I picked up the phone and I heard this woman saying that she was from We R Accident Claims 4 U but before I could answer her, I’d lost control of the car and I careered off the road and went down the embankment. She was still on the phone as I got out of the car so she took my details and said she’d get back to me.”
The M4 was closed for 10 minutes while Darren got his car out of a ditch and back onto the road.
