Man beats depression by working hard and replacing it with exhaustion

A man from Trebanog has successfully beaten depression by working hard and replacing it with exhaustion.

Simon Droopydrawers set up his own company last year and is currently working 7 days a week to make ends meet.

He told WalesOnCraic:

“Last year I was moping around with a face like a slapped arse. I thought I’d set up my own business to take my mind off things and things took off very quickly. Before long, I’d totally forgotten how miserable I was. But now I’m totally exhausted. I keep falling asleep on the job and I’m working 7 days a week. I’m so tired that I can’t even speak properly. My arms don’t work, my eyes feel like pissholes in the snow and I can’t even remember my own name. It’s Simon isn’t? Isn’t it? I think I’m called Simon.”

Psychologist Betty ‘Nosey’ Parker said:

“It’s common for self-employed people to be exhausted. We find that it wipes out all other forms of emotions and that these people become almost zombie-like.”
