Johnson threatens to take Putin off his Christmas card list

Boris Johnson has reacted furiously to news that Russia has invaded Ukraine.

Johnson is reportedly threatening to take the Russian President off his Christmas card this year.

A spokesman for Johnson told WalesOnCraic:

“We want to make it absolutely crystal clear to Putin and his cronies that we are not going to put up with this kind of bullying behaviour. As a free country, we will react decisively and without prejudice – whatever that means. What we do know is that Mr Johnson has delivered a message to Mr Putin – and that message is – ‘take your troops out of Ukraine or he’ll take you off his Christmas card list.'”

Russian forces invaded Ukraine this morning in what Mr Putin called ‘special military operations’. Mr Putin said that he didn’t want to take over Ukraine, although he had earlier said that he wasn’t going to invade Ukraine.

The British Prime Minister has reportedly already struck Mr Putin from his Christmas card list, but these reports have not been confirmed.
