TV pundit John Inverdale has been admitted to hospital with excessive moistness after watching England get through to the Final of the Rugby World Cup.
Inverdale is currently being dried out with kitchen towels by teams of specialist nurses.
Dr Andy Pandy, Moistness Specialist at the London hospital, told WalesOnCraic:
“We can confirm that Mr England-dale was admitted late this morning with excessive moistness. We tried to pick him up by ambulance but our staff had problems getting hold of him as he kept slipping out of their grip. He managed to get himself to hospital in a taxi and he has been here ever since.
“Our staff have been trying to calm him down so that he doesn’t continue to be moist, and we have teams of specialist nurses dabbing him off with bits of kitchen towel. We expect him to be here until after next weekend’s World Cup Final, possibly longer.”
A spokesman for Mr Inverdale said that the presenter was talking about nothing else, other than England this morning. And quite rightly so. They put away those pesky All Blacks as if they were just Scotland.
