A Maesteg husband has defied belief by keeping his kitchen clean for more than 4 hours.
Gerard Dunce even managed to make himself a cup of tea without using all the saucepans, plates and cutlery during the 4 hour period.
His wife Wendy told WalesOnCraic:
“I usually avoid going into the kitchen because it always looks as if there’s been some kind of food explosion in there. Last night, he only went out to get a biscuit and when I popped out to turn off the light and I thought we’d been burgled. Today, he really did make an effort bless him. He kept it clean mostly by not going in there but he did make a cup of tea about 3 o’clock and even then, he cleaned up the 4 saucepans, three cups and 5 spoons he used to make it. He’s really has impressed me today and I shall be rewarding him later with a quick hand job – that’s how impressed I am.”
Gerard said that it was difficult to keep the kitchen clean but is glad that he could prove himself to Wendy.
“I had a little help from the dish washing machine but overall, I’m pretty pleased with myself.”
