Gales have brought misery to Welsh towns and cities overnight.
Empty wheelie bins and food bins have been left strewn across roads and pavements.
A spokesman for the Council said:
“When we thought of giving everyone wheelie bins and food bins, we thought it was a wheelie good idea. Did you see what I did there? I’m mad I am. The only problem with the wheelie bins and food bins is that once they are emptied, they are at the mercy of Mother Nature. We didn’t think it through. You also have to feel sorry for the people of Barry who don’t even have wheelie bins. They just have bags that they have to put their shit into. They’ve probably woken up this morning to find that their bags are in England somewhere. It’s wheelie bad. Did you see what I did there? I’m mad I am.”
Strong winds have blown over plant pots and patio chairs in exposed areas. The winds are set to die down later today.
