Eddie Butler preparing his most poetic pre-match preamble yet

Welsh rugby commentator Eddie Butler has been busy preparing his most poetic pre-match preamble yet over the last week.

Eddie has been hard at work since the final whistle of the France v Wales game last week.

Eddie’s agent told WalesOnCraic:

“The entire nation looks forward to match day, not because of the game, but because of Eddie’s brilliant pre-match bit. He manages to give us all a throb-on about the forthcoming game with his choice of words, images and music. If you don’t get excited by one of Eddie’s bits before the game, then you’re not Welsh. Edward has been busy working on his latest installment since the lads pipped the French to the post last week. He’s nearly finished it now and you’ll be able to see it on Sunday morning. While I’m here, I’d also like to nominate Eddie for Welsh Poet of the Year as he is soooo good at it. I’m off to get a beer now anyway.”

Eddie gained 16 caps for Wales during the 1980s. He also likes to pronounce foreign players’ names with a French accent, regardless of which country they come from.
