Dog locks dickhead in hot car and goes shopping in Aldi

A dog has locked his owner in his hot car and gone shopping in Aldi.

The owner had to sit in temperatures that were hotter than the surface of the sun while the dog went shopping for Tender Lamb and Carrots dog food.

The owner, who was rescued from the car said:

“I couldn’t believe what he was doing. He simply parked the car up, wound all the windows up, got out and disappeared into the shop. I thought that he’d just popped in quick for something but after ten minutes, I started getting worried. There was no sign of him. It was getting really warm in there and I was starting to panic a little. A few people went past, shaking their heads but carried on into the shop. After about 20 minutes, I was starting to feel light-headed and my mouth was getting very dry. I thought I was going to pass out. I was struggling to breathe. I caught glimpse of my dog – he appeared briefly at the window with a large trolley full of dog food. At that point, I realised that he wasn’t coming back any time soon. I wanted to shout for help but my mouth was too dry. I banged on the window and a few people looked but carried on walking. One guy saw that I was in trouble though. Thankfully, he smashed the window and I took the biggest lungful of cool air that I could get.”

The dog appeared nearly 40 minutes later with a full trolley.

He told WalesOnCraic:

“Meh. No idea why I got him in the first place. He’s a waste of space around the house.”
