Diver refuses to wear scuba mask as it infringes on his constitutional rights

A diver from Aberystwyth has refused to wear a scuba mask as he says that it is infringing on his constitutional rights.

Darren Dimwit, a part-time plasterer and submicroscopic virology expert, said he that the Government is trying to oppress him and his mates who go snorkelling off the Welsh coast.

He told WalesOnCraic:

“I’m not a sheep. I’m not going to live my life in fear. The media is portraying is as if there’s a global pandemic but I’m not infected. I can breathe just fine without my mask. Other divers wearing masks are the ones looking stupid. It might be the law but the Government can go do one. I’m medically exempt anyway so you won’t catch me 60ft underwater with a stupid mask on. I’m not letting this or any government suppress me and my constitutional rights.”

Darren said that he was also planning to go scuba diving in Doncaster next week.

“It’s something we do every year and although some of the lads already have COVID, we do it every year so we’ll be ok.”
