Corbyn to sit on the pitch for the Wales v Moldova game next month

Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn will be forced to sit on the pitch when he comes to watch Wales’ World Cup qualifier match next month.

Wales take on mighty Moldova at Cardiff City Stadium next month but Mr Corbyn has been asked to sit on the pitch as all other seats will have been reserved.

A Corbyn aide told WalesOnCraic:

“He’s happy with that to be honest. It’ll afford him a good view of the game and he’ll have plenty of room. The only downside is that he’ll have to walk that little bit further to get himself a Peter’s Pie but he’s on a bit of a health kick at the moment anyway so that’s not too much of a problem. I’ll make sure that we film him sitting on the pitch so that we can make the case for nationalising football. Under the watchful eye of the government, Wales should be able to win the World Cup for the first time since the beginning of time.”

A spokesman for Cardiff City Stadium said:

“Corbyn? Who’s he then? Ah right yeah. We’ve reserved a space for him on the pitch for the game. Whether he’ll take it or not is up to him I guess.”
