Residents of Wales’ capital Cardiff have said that they are fearing a return to Zoom quizzes.

Lockdown in the city looks imminent, and anxiety levels are at an all-time high at the thought of a return to online quiz nights.

Resident Paul Ap Gwilym, who didn’t want to be named, told WalesOnCraic:

“Every time I hear the term ‘Zoom Quiz’, my body shakes and I go into a meltdown. We’ve already been through enough and even the thought of another Zoom quiz makes me want to vomit. Night after night, week after week, there we all were, speaking over each other, losing signal, not knowing who was winning and what people were saying. I can’t go there again. I don’t think my mind can take it.”

Mental health charity Just Get Over It said that they are worried about the return of the quizzes.

“I think the people of Cardiff have taken on a lot these last few months. A return to Zoom quizzes may push people over the edge. We are worried.”
