Cardiff man completes London Marathon in 59 minutes – by fast-forwarding it and turning TV over

A Cardiff man has completed the London Marathon in just 59 minutes by fast-forwarding it and turning over to watch Jeremy Kyle instead.

Armchair runner Kenneth Layabout beat his own record of 1 hour 5 minutes, which he racked up last year. He told WalesOnCraic:

“It gets more and more boring every year. It’s the same old shit of people running past the camera and this year, I’d had enough after just 59 minutes. I turned over to watch Jeremy Kyle instead – there was this bird on there who reckoned one of her bridesmaids nicked £500 off her on her hen night. That’s the sort of television that keeps people hooked my friend – not people running past a camera waving.”

Kenneth likes running in his spare time, but only from the comfort of his armchair.

“I like watching the running on telly. But only sometimes.”

The London Marathon is a famous world-wide event where people run around the city for a few hours. It’s so important that it appears on TV to show people running around the city for a few hours. It is set in London.
