Caerphilly woman camps out for the Next Christmas sale

A woman from Caerphilly has pitched her tent outside Next in readiness for the Christmas sale.

Ethel Wideflaps missed out on a 10% off deal last year and is determined not to miss it this year.

She told WalesOnCraic:

“Last year was a total disaster. I’d not long come back from a sale in Argos and by the time I got to next in town, I’d missed the 10% off deal. I was crushed because I’d really had my heart set on something I neither wanted or needed. And I wanted 10% off it. This year, I’m ready up to the tits. I’ve got myself a tent, I’ve got food and drink for three months and I’ve got myself a book to read while I wait at the front of the queue. In the meantime, I’ll keep an eye on who’s still in the X Factor by popping down to the local Dixons and watching their tellies. Everyone’s going to be so jealous come Christmas.”

Next spokesman Darren Tightpants said:

“She can sit outside the shop if she likes but she can think again if she thinks she’s getting 10% off. I recommend that she goes and gets a life.”
