The much-loved human-sized bear TV celebrity Bungle has been officially appointed to look after the Government’s PPE fiasco.
Bungle has asked to have his back up team of Rod, Jane and Freddy with him as he looks to construct a plan to bring more PPE into the country.
Bungle told WalesOnCraic:
“I’ve plenty of experience in this kind of thing because I had to wear a mask on one of our Rainbow shows once. As Zippy and George can’t be with me, and also Geoffrey, I’ve asked my good friends Rod, Jane and Freddy to help out. The first thing we need to do is sing a song about it and then we might do a little dance. We always liked to do that. As far as I know, I’ve been offered a good wage which will help me out as I’ve not had much work for the last 30 years or so. I’ve had a few problems with my conservatory lately so that’d be nice if I can get that sorted for the summer. I’ll be travelling up to London later in the week to get started on the job. First thing I need to do is find out what PPE is.”
Bungle made his name in the children’s TV show Rainbow, which was broadcast in the 1980s.
“I loved working on Rainbow and I’m sure I’ll be pretty good in my latest role.”
