Boris pulls a sickie on his first day back
Boris Johnson has pulled a sickie on his first day back to work.
Johnson told aides that ‘someone would cover for him’ and has retreated to his flat to watch more Netflix.
A spokesman for Downing Street told WalesOnCraic:
“Boris phoned in first thing this morning to say that he wasn’t feeling too well. We were kind of expecting it as that was that he said when we’ve had some Cobra meetings. We can usually tell when he’s going to pull a sickie because he’s on Facebook late into the night, sharing YouTube videos and saying how much he loves people. Boris said that he’s got the shits and that he’ll have to have another two days off, so we’re going to have to look for another guest host to run this country until he comes back.”
Johnson was recently admitted to intensive care after contracting COVID19.
“He’s up and at them,” said one spokesman. “Apart from today. He’s bardies today.”
