Beaches at Brecon, Llandovery and Builth Wells to open for English tourists

The Welsh government has announced that it is to fully open the beaches at Brecon, Llandovery and Builth Wells.

The Senedd said that English tourists would be more than welcome to visit the beaches at the three towns, which open next week.

A spokeswoman told WalesOnCraic:

“We’ve been under huge pressure from our English cousins over the border to open our beaches so we are happy to announce that we are reopening three beaches just for them. We will be opening up beaches at Brecon, Llandovery and Builth Wells just for them. We will of course, have social distancing measures in place and we’ll be asking them to use their common sense when visiting our beaches. We’d politely ask that they take all their litter home with them as they seem to have a habit of leaving empty beer bottles around the place. And while they can enjoy the beaches at these three locations, we’ll be secretly sunning ourselves down at the Gower and other beaches.”

One English tourist couldn’t contain her delight at the news.

“I can’t wait. I’ve always wanted to visit Brecon beach. I’ve been told it’s lovely there so I’m going to bring my entire family.”
