Barry Fleece Police Step Up Patrols As Cold Weather Bites

Barry’s Fleece Police are stepping up patrols after a spate of fleece-wearing episodes in the town.

With the onset of autumn weather, up to 50 fleeces a day have been spotted wandering the town.

A Fleece Police spokesperson told WalesOnCraic:

“I’ve got reports coming out my arse with all these phonecalls we keep getting. We appreciate the public’s concern but I’ve only got two pairs of hands.”

Barry’s fleece problem reached its height this time last year when Peacocks launched a new range, some featuring howling wolves. It is thought that up to 50% of the Barry population has a fleece.

“The problem could be much worse.” says the spokesperson. “We don’t know who has them stashed in their cupboard. If they all came out at once, it’d be like Shaun of the Dead.”
