95% of Welsh people living in England subconsciously park their cars facing their homeland.

The results have been published as part of a ‘What it’s like to be a Welsh person living in England’ survey published by the University of Mid Wales.

Professor BonkEye who headed up the survey told WalesOnCraic:

“We’ve interviewed billions of Welsh people who now live in England and most of them said that without thinking, they park their cars facing Wales. It just goes to show that you can take a person out of Wales but you can’t take Wales out of the person. Some people even have Welsh stickers on their cars, just to let those pesky English people know that they aren’t one of them. God help them this weekend, what with England winning the Grand Slam. The poor sods are going to have to put up with a ribbing for at least another year.”

Photos included in the survey appear to show 95% of cars pointing towards Wales. One Welsh ex-pat said:

“The best thing about being a Welsh person living in England is the fact that I’m Welsh. I get called a sheep shagger a lot but there’s nothing finer than heading back over the bridge and seeing that blydi lovely ‘Welcome to Wales’ sign.”
