300 women have snapped up season tickets at Parc y Scarlets to see the Scarlet’s new signing’s skills.
The women said that they wanted to admire Leigh Halfpenny’s running angles and defensive patterns.
One female fan said:
“Up until today, I didn’t know what rugby was. One of my mates showed me this picture of this fella with his top off so I signed up there and then to whatever it was she was trying to get me to sign. I now find out that I’ve got a season ticket to watch the Scarlets, whoever they are. I’ve been told to tell you that I’ll be going to watch his style of playing and that he’s one of the best players in the world. I particularly look forward to seeing his thighs, I mean tries. Some of the girls have been warned to take a change of knickers when we goes down on a Saturday afternoon. It should be fun.”
A spokesman for the Scarlets said:
“We appreciate the ladies spending their hard-earned money on season tickets with us. We are sure that they’ll appreciate Leigh’s running angles and defensive patterns.”
