Uber drivers who have found themselves out of work today have offered to fly jets for Ryanair.
The taxi drivers pointed out that Ryanair boss Michael O’Leary said flying a plane was a piece of piss.
One driver told WalesOnCraic:
“Sadly, our license here in London wasn’t renewed today so I’ve found myself out of work. Perchance, Ryanair are finding that they’re having to cancel flights left, right and centre. I’m a thinking man so I put two and two together and figured that we are here – Ryanair’s planes are sat on the runways – so why not combine the two? Even their boss says they’re a piece of piss to fly so why not? I drove a Transit van once and did ok.”
Uber bosses say that they are looking to support their workers.
“We’ll be giving them some vouchers for Kwik Save. It’s up to them what they do with their jobs from hereon in.”
