Tom Jones to release grime album

Welsh singing superstar Tom Jones is to release a so-called grime album.

The 92-year-old, Ponty-born legend has this week announced a new album that will feature songs such as ‘Krunk Joooce’, ‘Touch Me Down By Yur’, ‘You Can Leave Your Coat/Jacket On’ and ‘What’s New M-Cat?’. He has collaborated on a song called ‘Now In A Minute Like’ with platinum selling artist Dai Pipes and is set to tour Merthyr in the summer of 2019.

When asked why, why, why he wanted to release this kind of album during an interview with Readers Digest, Tom said that he hopes it will help him further connect with the young folk.

“I felt I was down with da kids when I did that song with Cerys from The Catatonia and I really want to get down with them again. It’s not unusual for albums like this to go tits up, but I really feel like a sex bomb at the moment so we’ll see how it goes like, innit.”

The nonagenarian added:

“I’m looking forward to getting back to the green, green grass of home to do this tour and although your Mum might tell you not to come because of the weather, you can always leave your hat on as it may very well be cold outside that time of year.”

According to the silver fox, the album received high praise from Grime legend Stormzy.

“I bumped into The Stormy outside Bargain Booze the other day and I said I’d send him my mix tape. He rang me up on the landline a few days later and said that it was “wicked bruv” which I took to mean that he thought he was blydi lush.”

Tickets for the tour will go on sale on October 15th from up the top shops or Nancy will have some on sale behind the bar at Aberwhatsit RFC on match days.
